Acts is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant position.
The COTA provides treatment services to residents and employees at assigned facilities. Assists Occupational Therapist in treatment and program development.
Job Requirements
Critical Skills and Knowledge Necessary
- Basic physical assessment skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Understanding of the principles of physical modalities employed in occupational therapy
- Knowledge of medical terminology
The critical skills and knowledge required to successfully perform the functions of the position include a minimum of the completion of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for license in the state(s) where services are rendered. 2-3 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment preferred. Experience in adult neurologic, cardiac, and/or general rehabilitation preferred.
