The Corporate Medical Director will serve as a leader in the care transformation in providing innovative and visionary clinical leadership for this multi-campus continuing care retirement organization (CCRC). Working with the Senior Vice President, leads and supports the implementation of clinical initiatives that measure, assess and improve the quality and consistency of care delivered to all residents. and quality initiatives that support the provision of consistent clinical performance and practice standards. Facilitates the analysis of quality performance and prioritization improvement opportunities in the skilled care centers and with the Acts nurse practitioner program. Provides leadership to the contracted Medical Directors at the various skilled care centers on infection control, risk management and credentialing and consults on an array of issues involving physicians, nurse practitioners and other health care providers

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Doctor of Medicine
  • Holds an active unrestricted license in the State of Pennsylvania
  • Board certification in a primary care discipline and added qualifications as a Geriatrician recommended.
  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical and administrative experience in primary including experience as a Medical Director of a skilled nursing community or CCRC.
  • Five+ years experience in the supervision and collaboration of Nurse Practitioners.
  • Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialities in respective specialty
  • Certified Long-Term Care Medical Director by AMDA
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Managed healthcare systems, medical quality assurance, quality improvement and risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to assess business needs, design and implement clinical programs and evaluate results
  • Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal guidelines governing long-term care
