Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Culinary Services Manager position.

In this role, you will monitor and supervise the daily operations of the dining rooms and restaurants to ensure staff provide residents and guests with a pleasant dining experience.

Job Requirements


We are looking for a Culinary Services Manager to lead all aspects of our FOH business across three venues located on the same property. You will deliver a high-quality menu in each area and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. Culinary Services Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, expense and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience in both front and back of the house with an emphasis on front of house. We want you to know how to oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. Back of the house management experience is essential as it relate to service only. You will hire wait staff, set work schedules, oversee side work and make sure we comply with industry health and safety regulations. We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environments. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurants runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.


  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Regularly review product quality and perform line checks and pre-shift meetings
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Estimate future needs for supplies and equipment related to service environments
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Support the creation of detailed reports on weekly basis that support staff development and service evaluations
  • Promote the Acts brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and community events
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain current & future restaurant operations


  • Proven work experience as a Catering or Front of House Manager, Shift Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software functionality
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Acute financial management skills
  • Degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • High school education; college degree is preferred
  • 2+ years of dining room or other food service supervisory experience
  • Background & Drug Screening
