Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Executive Director at our Fairhaven community. This beautiful gated community is located in Sykesville, MD.

The Executive Director is directly responsible for the complete administration of the community. Specific responsibilities include assuring compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations, acting as a public relations liaison with the greater community, assuming budgetary responsibility, maintaining the appearance and operations of the physical plant, and safeguard provisioning of all daily service to residents consistent with the Acts mission statement.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience within a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) or similar environment in a management position
  • Current Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license preferred
  • Work experience should show progressively increasing supervisory and budgetary responsibilities with proven verbal and written communication skills along with problem solving capabilities
  • Thorough knowledge of all applicable state, federal and local regulations
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment practices and standards
  • Ability to oversee maintenance, construction projects, and capital expenditures
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing
