Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Life Engagement Director.

The Life Engagement Director develops and coordinates a blended and well-balanced approach to events and opportunities within the body, mind and spirit dimensions of wellness. This position will meet the needs and interests and enhance overall satisfaction of all independent living community residents, in accordance with the Acts Signature Experience culture. This position oversees the recreation programs for residents and manages the recreation staff. 

Job Requirements

Education & Experience: The critical skills and knowledge required to successfully perform the functions of the position are normally obtained through:

  • bachelor’s degree in recreation, fine arts or a related human services field with a minimum of 2 years progressively responsible work experience in the recreation department of a retirement community, skilled care or assisted living environment;
  • National Certification Council for Activity Professionals or a state approved coordinator’s activity course is preferred.
