Acts is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding Primary Care Services and Nurse Practitioner Program at Fort Washington Estates located in Fort Washington, PA.

In this role, you will provide services across the continuum of care – independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing. This is a unique opportunity to build and manage an outpatient Primary Care Practice on campus as well as provide care for our assisted living residents and skilled nursing unit.  Acts NPs plan and direct all functions in the primary care practice and resident clinical care area. This will involve managing the residents’ health care needs in compliance with state and federal regulations; managing and participating in COVID related monitoring, state reporting requirements and testing;  maintain knowledge of the Long-Term Care Industry and geriatrics through continuing education; and serve as clinical preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students. Acts NPs plan and direct all functions in the primary care practice and resident clinical care area. The position is 20 hours per week on campus (preferably Mon thru Fri, 4-hours/day, but flexible) with the potential for additional hours as needed to cover at other surrounding Acts communities.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Advanced Nursing; preferably in geriatrics
  • Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority in the applicable work state
  • Minimum of two years' experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or relevant work experience in nursing care; particularly working with seniors (CCRC, skilled care and/or assisted living environment) preferred
