Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Occupational Therapist Assistant position.
In this role, you will provide treatment services to residents and employees at assigned facilities, and assist the Occupational Therapist in treatment and program development. Performs occupational therapy procedures that have been delegated by the OTR, in accordance with the plan of treatment. Participate in patient care conferences, rehabilitation team conferences, conferences with physicians and other rehabilitation representatives as necessary.
Job Requirements
The critical skills and knowledge required to successfully perform the functions of the position are normally obtained thru:
- Completion of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
- Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license, or eligibility for license in the state(s) where services are rendered
- 2-3 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility and/or outpatient rehab environment preferred
- Experience in adult neurologic, cardiac, cognitive, orthopedic and/or general rehabilitation preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing therapy services
- Proficient in electronic documentation & reviewing electronic medical records
