Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Regional Controller position for our Chesapeake Region in Eldersburg, Maryland.

This position,guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures for the communities within the region.

• Provides financial support, including analysis of monthly operating results, to the regional vice president and the executive directors.

• Preparation of monthly statements for the region which will include all reconciliations, adjustments and accruals performed on a timely basis.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans and meeting with community leadership.

• Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

• Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.

• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

• Supports the annual audit process and other regulatory reporting as needed.

• Directly supervises the regional personnel and oversees the operations of the regional office including regional financial and accounting as well as the operational areas of sales, real estate, human resources and resident health services.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.

• Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Specific Qualifications for the role include:

The regional controller candidate should have a B.A. degree in accounting or business administration (M.B.A. would be a plus)

5+ years of progressively responsible experience.

Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations would be an advantage.
