Summary Statement:  Assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates continuing staff educational programs, Rehabilitation Services care policies and procedures to meet state, federal, and corporate standards.

Job Functions

 

  • Keeps Rehabilitation Services Policies and Procedures Manual up to date in accordance with state, federal, corporate and Rehabilitation Services practices standards.

 

 

  • Keeps up to date with ongoing changes in Rehabilitation Services care and practices.

 

  • Evaluates quality of resident care in all ACTS communities, delivered by Rehabilitation Services therapists.

 

  • Evaluates and makes recommendations in regards to documentation of services provided by ACTS Signature Rehabilitation Services, as required by state, federal, and corporate standards.

 

  • Acts as Rehabilitation Services technical resource in regard to resident care.

 

 

  • Implements, and evaluates Orientation Program for Director of Rehabilitation Services and Rehabilitation Services staff.

 

 

  • Communicates effectively with all levels of corporate and facility staff.

 

  • Makes Quality Assurance Inspections to include Rehabilitation Services documentation and processes on a routine basis in each facility.

 

  • Assures all Willow Brook Court, Oak Bridge Terrace, Home Health and Outpatient programs are in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience: The critical skills and knowledge required to successfully perform the functions of the position are normally obtained thru:

  • Education Level: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy Master’s Degree preferred, Masters Degree required for Speech Therapy. Valid license or eligibility for license in the state(s) where services are rendered is required.
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience:  4-6 years of experience in a skilled nursing rehab environment as well as outpatient rehab preferred. Must have significant experience with multi-site management. Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and vision.
