Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Sous Chef (Food Production 1) position working in the Culinary Department. In this role, you will assist in meal preparation following the standardized recipes and established food handling, preparation and meal service time schedules and standards.


Job Requirements

Background/Training Required: Experienced cook in restaurant and or health care food service experience a plus.  Strong culinary background.  Ability to organize and maintain a restaurant style cooking line. Firm understanding of all state regulations related to “food service”. Menu planning. Monitors utility staff for correct sanitation practices and closing of the kitchen.  Reports all kitchen equipment concerns. Places food orders, develop relationships with residents by touching tables on a routine basis. “Clean as you go mentality. Ensures all kitchen temperature logs are completed by staff on a routine basis. Responsible to ensure all leftovers are properly cooled, labeled and dated. Ability to follow standardized recipes.  Serv Safe Certification. 1 year of supervisory experience.
