Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Southern Divisional Director of Memory Care.

In this position, the ideal candidate provides leadership and coordination of integrated, comprehensive services and supports for individuals with dementia and their caregivers across all levels of care for communities within the Division. Responsible for communicating, coordinating, and supporting programs and initiatives aligned with Acts memory care vision. This individual will work collaboratively across disciplines to ensure best practice and innovative programming and services for residents with dementia and their caregivers and will contribute specialized expertise in behavioral health and behavioral intervention. Specific focus areas will include, but are not limited to, facilitating enhancements at memory care pilot communities and specialized memory care neighborhoods, supporting engagement and programming, brain health initiatives, behavioral intervention, caregiver education and support services, staff education and consultation, and technical assistance for implementation of dementia related programs, services, policies and programs at community level.


Job Requirements

This position supports all of our Southern Division communities.  Travel is required.

The critical skills and knowledge required to successfully perform the functions of the position are normally obtained thru:

      • Education Level: At a minimum, an MA in a mental health related specialty, e.g. social services, psychology or behavioral analysis.  Evidence of specialized training in gerontology and/or dementia also required. Professional license in a mental health specialty strongly preferred.
      • Years of Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience in long term care memory care, dementia related services and/or social services setting. Experience in providing education and training to professionals and stakeholders preferred.
